Wags 'n Whiskers - Black and White challenge plus there's a change in the challenges!

Happy Friday!!! I'm super excited about our new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers today!! Our fabulously talented Angelique has asked us to make a black and white project.  I'm so excited becuase it's something I've never tried before. I honestly didn't know if I'd be able to color an entire scene with just six different markers all in the same color family! But I did it!  What do you think? I used the adorable Sammie's Surprise along with a Magnolia background image and a Tim Holtz fence die, and I colored them all with the cool greys.  Now while I went the cutesy route, you have GOT to see the amazing creations my Diva sisters came up with!!!!  I was astounded at how gorgeous a black and white card could be!!  Do yourself a favor and go take a peek!

I also wanted to let you know that there has been a change in the way the Wags 'n Whiskers challenge is run! You are now welcome to use any stamp or digital image on your Wags 'n Whiskers challenge project! Just follow the guiedlines of the challenge and you'll have a chance to win! I can't wait to see your black and white creations this week! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Merry and Bright

Happy Friday!! WOOHOO! It's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers, and this week it's from the awesomely talented Debs! The challenge is "Merry and Bright" (Christmas). I chose to use the beautiful stamp called Snuzzle Love. She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with Nestabilities. The poinsettia is from a Spellbinders die.

Cardstock is Bazzill,  and DP is Nitwit Collections. Of course I used some May Arts silk ribbon for the bow (altered the color to match the green paper with my Copics), and  I also machine stitched around all the panels. The tag was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more cartridge.  Please be sure to stop by the Wags 'n Whiskers challenge blog to play along with the challenge, and please visit all my amazing Diva sisters to see their fabulous creations!

Wendy is offering up a fantastic prize of her entire DVD collection for this weeks challenge!!! For my card this week, I'm using the adorable image called Christmas Bells Charlie from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. He's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up on circle Nestabilities.

I received a Scor-Buddy from the fabulous Diana Crick at Magnolia-licious, and I was able to make this gate-fold card in the blink of an eye! LOVE it!! Thanks so much, Diana! I used Glossy Accents on the bell, and also added some Fun Flock to the trim on Charlie's hat. Isn't he just too cute??!! Cardstock is Bazzill and PP is from Nitwits. Papertake Weekly - a sketch by Dawny paired up with Kraftin Kimmie

Yay! We made it through Monday! LOL! I don't usually care for Mondays, so having them behind me is a pretty good thing! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week it's a sketch challenge that is being sponsored by Whiff of Joy! . I love sketch challenges! It totally takes all the guesswork out of designing a card! And this one is really cool. For my card, I chose to use some awesome Basic Grey papers from the Max and Whiskers line. Love, love, love these papers!! And then I had to pair them up with a couple of Kraftin Kimmie stamps.

They're colored with Copic markers and she's cut out and popped up, and he's cut out with Nestabilities and popped up. I've been wanting to do this card since I got this cute Zombie stamp. I just think she looks like she had one hell of a fun night the night before! LOL! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the amazing creations by the talented DT, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us for a chance to win a prize from WOJ! Now You're Cookin' Magnolia-licious blog hop!

Happy Monday and welcome to the "Now you're cookin'" Magnolia-licious blog hop! If you arrived here from the lovely and talented Mindy, then you're in the right place. If not, please start at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog so you don't miss out on anything! This month, we're all giving you a yummy recipe card/project of something that we enjoy making during the fall/winter. My choice is to give you a recipe for a Dark Chocolate Cream pie!!! If I don't make this pie every Thanksgiving, I would never hear the end of it from my family! LOL! It's so rich and creamy and delicious! I hope you try it and let me know what you think. The recipe is not my own, it came from a cook book written by Rick Rodgers, called Thanksgiving 101. I've gotten a number of good recipes out of that book and would highly recommend it to anyone. I always figure if I can get one or two good recipes out of a cook book, then I'm happy.

For my recipe card, I used several Magnolia images, the first one being this adorable Tilda, #386 Kitchen Tilda from the A Little Yummy For Your Tummy Collection at Magnolia-licious. I also used #516 Rolling Pin (on the inside, sorry - couldn't get a good pic), and the big label on the front with Tilda is also a Magnolia image but I can't find it right now. Please just ask Diana about it if you're interested. The stamps are colored with Copic markers and then cut out for placement on the card. Tilda is popped up for dimension. If you have a collection of Magnolia recipe cards (or want to start one) and would like to have this one to add to your collection, please just say so in a comment. If there's more than one person, I"ll just do a random draw for it. Here's the recipe for your enjoyment. Just click on the pic to make it bigger. Sorry it's a little blurry toward the bottom. The pic was taken at an odd angle.

Now if you would like to win some goodies, please just leave me a comment on this post  before 11:59 PM Pacific time on Friday, Oct 22nd. One entry per person please, and I will ship anywhere. Now it's time to head on over to see what kind of deliciousness that the lovely and  talented Patti Jo has cooked up for you! Thanks so much for hopping along with us today! Hope to see you back again soon! Hug!

Happy Birthday Peggy!!! Scary spider story contest for free cd!!

Today is a very special day, as it's the birthday of my fabulous sister, Peggy, the owner of Peggy Loves Vintage! Of course my card is running late to her (it wouldn't be me if it weren't!). But I wanted to say I love you and I'm so proud of you! And I hope you're getting pampered and spoiled, as you truly deserve it!

For all of you that don't know her, Peggy is the mom of three fabulous kids. But she has I don't know how many "adopted" kids that she has taken in and taken care of throughout the years. She reminds me so much of our mom with her loving, caring, and nurturing nature!  She's the older of the two of us, and she has always been such a positive influence in my life. Thanks for all your love, guidance, inspiration, and understanding over the years, sis! I love you! Happy Birthday!

Now are you a fan of Peggy's images? If you are, be sure and head over to Peggy's blog, cause she's having a scary spider story contest right now, and the prize is a cd of your choice!!! Creep her out, give her goose bumps, and you could be the one to benefit! And not only that, she's got another free image posted for your pleasure!! So hop on over there and check it all out. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - Halloween project

Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge over at Wags 'n Whiskers , and this challenge comes to us from the fabulous and extremely talented Jeanette!  She's asking us to make a Halloween card or project using a Wags 'n Whiskers image. Awesome challenge, Jeanette! You really made me think about this one! I decided on using the adorable stamp called Buddy's Balloon. I just used my Copic multiliner and drew a jack-o-lantern face on the balloon and put them on a tombstone shaped card I made using my  Expression, Gypsy, and Mini Monsters cartridge. The ghost is from a set from Nitwit Collections. Please be sure and visit Wags 'n Whiskers to be blown away by the fabulous cards by my Diva sisters! They ROCKED this challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fabulous week, and we've almost made it to the weekend! It's time for a new challenge over at Delightful Challenges, and this week we're asking you to use something metal on your project. Anything metal will work, so things like charms, brads, eyelets, anything! We're being sponsored this week by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp!  For my card today,  I chose to use this adorable image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo called Jingles the Snowman. He's colored with Copic markers and the cut out using circle Nestabilities.

Cardstock is Bazzill, papers are digital from Nitwits, the square panels are machine stitched, and then I did some faux stitching arund the circle. The snowflakes are a punch from Martha Stewart and the ribbon of course is May Arts silk. That cute little snowman charm is from the Charm Barn. Please visit Delightful Challenges and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage - A collection of cuties

Happy hump day everyone! I don't know about you, but I sure am looking forward to the weekend! Todays card features an adorable kitty bearing a basket of goodies! I just think she's make about he purrfect card for anything, don't you? She's available from Peggy Loves Vintage on the Collection of Cuties cd.  She just screamed blue gingham to me, so I just couldn't help it!   There's so many things I love about all these fabulous vintage images, like how you can do the cutest cards literally in minutes. This card was unbelievably easy to put together!

I printed her off onto X-Press It blending card and cut her out with Nestabilities. The paper is from Pink Petticoat, and the cardstock is Bazzill. the flower are some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added a bow made with May Arts silk ribbon and some punched borders and leaves courstesy of Martha Stewart, and this card is done! EASY PEASY!  Please be sure and check out all the fabulous CD's and vintage images available right now over at Peggy Loves Vintage! She's got the most awesome Santa's too. Papertake Weekly - Three of a kind!!

Yay! We made it through Monday!!   A quick note about last weeks big birthday blog hop at Papertake Weekly....A huge thank you to all who helped us celebrate our 3rd birthday! Dawny had gathered so many fabulous prizes, that each designer got to give away a prize! I had some people a little confused about how they were going to be entered when they had one number for their entry on my blog, and another number for their entry over on Papertake Weekly. Here is how it worked. If you linked your card to my blog (I had 63 links), you had your numbers for this blog. Then I added the links from the Papertake Weekly blog. So #1 on Papertake Weekly blog, was actually #64 for the drawing for the Simon Says Stamp gift certificate. So if you linked your card on both blogs, you actually got two chances at the prize. The winners are listed over at Papertake Weekly, so be sure to check it out! (other blogs handled their prizes in their own special way)

The challenge for this week is still keeping with our 3rd birthday theme, and we're asking for "three of a kind" on your project. For my card this week, I chose to use an adorable Magnolia stamp from Magnolia-licious, #311 Tilda with Flag from the Autumn 2010 collection. I just think she's cute as a button! And you can stamp or write anything on her flag that you want making her extremely versatile!  I love her, but I don't think I would want to be around when she takes off those leather shoes after not wearing any socks! Can you say P U!!!!!! Cardstock is Bazzill, papers are digital from Nitwits, ribbon is May Arts silk and buttons and charm are from stash.

Tilda's dress is paper pieced, and I added some shadows to it with Copics. I machine stitched the different layers, and that pretty much does it for this card.  Please be sure to hop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of my DT sisters fabulous creations, and check the list of winners to see if you were lucky! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Teaching my first Copic Card Class - What do you think?

Hi and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! We actually had a rainy and cloudy Sunday, and we loved it! LOL! We just don't get those, so when the rainy days happen, I truly enjoy them. I am so excited to be teaching my first Copic card class this week at my local scrapbook store called Scrapbook Paradise, and these are the two cards I've put together for them. I used Hero Arts stamps for both of them, and the stamps were all colored with Copic markers (of course).

With this being my first card class, I'm just nervous and hope everyone will enjoy it. I love dimension and color, and of course my silk ribbon. So I wanted to put as much of me into these cards as I could.

So what do you think?  Will they like the cards?  I'm anxious to hear what you think about it.  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and please come back tomorrow (Tuesday). Papertake Weekly is three years old tomorrow, and we have an exciting blog hop planned for you with lots of fun and prizes along the way! Hope you join us! Hugs!
