Papertake Weekly - In stitches

It's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly, and this week we're sponosred by Simon Says Stamp!! Dawny is challenging us to use stitching on our project, and it can be any kind of stitching. Either actual stitching or faux with a pen or rubons. I used machine stitching on this one. I chose this adorable digi image from Whimsey Stamps. I knew as soon as I laid eyes on this image that it was going to be perfect for this wedding card.

The cardstock is Bazzill and papers are digital from Nitwits. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (of course). I used lots and lots of Kaiser flat backed pearls on this one. I didn't have any of the swirls, so I just made my own. I think they turned out ok, huh? What do you think? The bow is made from May Arts Silk Ribbon, and I hung a heart and key charms from it. Made a matching envelope box to go with it, and called this one done!

That's it's for today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team. Then grab you paper and glue, and maybe you'll stitch your way to a prize from Simon Says Stamp!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

A sale at The Cutting Cafe and a pic of my Grandson that is visiting

Have you ever seen someone cheesein' it so big?? LOL!! This is my six year old grandson JJ that is visiting from KY right now, and he's the reason I've been absent from blogging all month. This isn't a great pic as the filtered sun light that is shining on his head makes him look like he's got a VERY bad hair cut! LOL! He's here until Saturday, and then he's headed back to KY with his mom. And of course we will miss him terribly.

I also wanted to let you know about a "Two for 1" sale that is going on right now over at The Cutting Cafe. From now until midnight on Monday night (Pacific time), for each set you purchase, you can get another set of the same or lesser value for FREE! So if you've been waiting to go shopping, now is the time!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Nikki and Lacey will have all the hoppers listed along with links to them.

For my card today, I chose to use Ellie and Squeak! Aren't they the absolute cutest???!!! I colored them with Copic markers.

I kept the embellishments very simple with this card cause I just wanted all the focus on Ellie and Squeak. I used some of the amazing silk May Arts ribbon that is avaialbe at Stamp and Create, along with some Kaiser flat backed pearls and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This collection is being released in both rubber stamps and digital images, and they will be available for purchase at 7am Eastern, 12:00 GMT, 4am Pacific.  There is a limited amount available in rubber, so get them quickly before they're gone! Papertake Weekly sketch challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week is sketch week, and we're being sponsored by Digital Delights!! Be sure and pop over to see the adorable images that Wendy has available at Digital Delights. Oh, and by the way....be prepared to fall in love!!  I just adore Dawny's sketches! For my card this week, I used an awesome and fun set of stamps... Murray & Ethel. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I cut it out with my circle Nesties.  I made it for Randy for Father's Day from our grandsons. And of course there was a round of golf inside it.  For the inside sentiment, I printed  Happy Papa's Day from my computer. The stars were cut with my Expression and the George cartridge. The ball and tees were from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.

DP is Nitwits and the cardstock is Bazzill, and thee is quite a bit of machine stitching.  I embossed the golf ball with the bubbles Cuttlebug folder and then highlighted the embossing with some chalk ink.

That's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the awesome creations from the rest of the fabulously talented design team! Then grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Who knows...you just might get lucky and win a fabulous prize from Digital Delights!

Yay! We made it to Friday! That means it's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers, and this week the challenge is from me! I'm asking everyone to use yellow on their project, it can be just a little, or it can be a whole lot(it's my favorite color) *smiles*.  I chose to use this adorable image of Princess called Chillin' Out for my card this week. She's just too stinkin' cute with her sunglasses and bracelet.  I do believe she might be just a tad bit spoiled. What do you think? LOL!  She's colored with Copic markers.

I used Basic Grey papers and an EK Success border punch. The flowers are Prima from Stamp and Create and I colored them with my Copic ABS then glittered them up a little. Final touches were some Kaiser flat backed pearls and a silk ribbon bow and charm, all from Stamp and Create. Please be sure and visit the rest of the DT Divas to see their take on the challenge:

Melanie, Karen Michele, Chris, Jeanette, Lacey, and our guest designer this week, Mariska

Papertake Weekly Ice Cream Flavors!

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly and this is a fun one! It's to use the colors of your favorite ice cream!! YUMMO!!! LOL! We're being sponsored this week by Di's Digital Downloads. If you haven't checked out the digi stamps available there, you've got to! They're so cute! They supplied us with a choice of stamp to use, but I'd already myade my card weeks ago and didn't have time to redo. :(  Hopefully I'll get to use one of their fabulous stamps in the near future. Strawberry has always been one of my favorites (although I have several) *smiles* Hey! I have to work HARD to keep this girlish figure! heehee  Anyway, I chose to use this adorable Tilda from Magnolia-licious. She's not in stock right now.  She holds a broom behind her back. I just simply chose to cut the broom away for this card. She's from the So Spooky collection. If you're interested in her, please just contact Diana at Magnolia-licious. I would not be surprised to find out she's already on order.

She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up for dimension. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the sentiment is an awesome one that I LOVE "Because nice matters" from The Cutting Cafe'. The inside says "And you're one of the nicest people I know". I love how this card turned out. The bow of course, is made from May Arts Silk Ribbon which I get from Stamp and Create. Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the design teams take on the challenge. Then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge. Show us the colors of your favorite ice cream! You might get lucky and win a fabulous prize from Di's Digital Downloads! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Stamp and Create - Popcorn Bear week 2

Welcome to the second week of Popcorn Bear being in the Product Spotlight over at Stamp and Create! Be sure you visit Lacey to see these adorable stamps and take advantage of the huge sale she's got going on right now! I will tell you, these stamps are large, but I LOVE them!! To give you an example, my card is 6"x6", just so you can get a reference for the size.  This week, I chose to use this cute stamp called Thinking of You. It comes with the front AND back of this cute bear holding a beauitful flower. The stamp comes with several sentiments, including a "sorry" stamp.  It's colored with Copic markers, and then I cut it out and popped it up for dimension.

I also used some of the fabulous May Arts Silk Ribbon along with the Bow Easy to make that beautiful bow, and I hung a butterfly charm from it. On all the flowers, including the stamped flower that Popcorn Bear is holding, I used Angel Wings Shimmerz to make them all sparkly and pretty, and on the butterflies I used some Kaiser flat backed pearls!

I am entering this in the challenge for Bitten By The Bug 2 which calls for any Cricut cut along with a stamp. I used the butterfly from Tear Drop and I hope it's summery enough for them. It does have buterflies and flowers. *smiles*

Thats's it for me today! Please be sure and visit the Stamp and Create blog to see the rest of the fabulous design teams creations using this adorble line of cute bears! And don't forget to join us in this months challenge for using charms along with any stamp available from Stamp and Create. You might get lucky and win an awesome prize!! Wags 'n Whiskers - Distressing Time

WOOHOO!! Welcome to FRIDAY! LOL! I just love Friday, don't you???? It's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers! This weeks challenge is courtesy of the lovely and taleted Michele, and she is asking us to distress our papers. This is not my usual style, but I tried really hard to embrace the challenge and do my best. I used one of the older Wags 'n Whiskers images called Snuzzle Love, and I colored her with Copic markers. I then cut her out using a circle nestability and distressed all the edges. I used Basic Grey paper and smeared it all up with some Tim Holtz crackle paint. I even smeared some of the crackle paint on the ribbon. That was REALLY hard for me to do, but I like the results.

The paper, lace, and May Arts Silk Ribbon that I used are all available at Stamp and Create. Please be sure and visit Wags 'n Whiskers challenge blog to see all the fabulous creations from my DT sisters, and then we'd love it if you'd join us in the challenge! But remember, to be elligible to win the prize, you MUST use a Wags 'n Whiskers image. If you don't have one, don't forget that a lot of the images are available as digital downloads for immediate use! The Wags 'n Whiskers Divas:

Melanie, Renata, Karen, Tina, Michele, Chris, Jacqui, Jeanette, and Lacey

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage - cowgirls, cowboys, and warriors

It's Friday night and I only have four more sleeps before my grandson gets here! I'm so excited and can't wait! LOL! Peggy just released some new cutouts featuring the cutest little cowboys, cowgirls, and warriors over at Peggy Loves Vintage! It's so easy making cards with images from Peggy! With the cutouts, I like to crop each picture and save them seperately in my files so they're always ready to just print and make a card! And with these images, you can put a card together in just minutes!

I cut a cowboy hat with my Expression and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to print the sentiment on, and I also cut out some stars using the George cartridge and tied a little bit of hemp around them. There's lots of machine stitching, and of course I had to use some of my May Arts Silk ribbon to tie a luxurious bow with my Bow Easy! From that I dangled a cute boot charm. That was it for this one! Please be sure to visit Peggy and take a peek at these adorable new cutouts! And don't forget to visit her blog too! She loves to give away free vintage images!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly Fun Fun Fun!!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you enjoyed the long weekend if you were lucky enough to have one. Now it's time to head back to work and reality. LOL! I'm starting to wonder if we're going to have a summer here in Reno. We haven't had one good warm day yet this year. I'm looking forward to the 80's that they're predicting for this coming Sunday and Monday. Anyway, enough about the weather. It's time to talk about Summer Fun Fun Fun! Dawny over at Papertake Weekly issued a challenge to make a card or project showing one of your favorite Summer pastimes, and we're being sponsored this week by Dies to Die For. My most favorite Summer activity is to just be by the ocean. I could sit on the beach from now until the day I die, and would be totally content as long as I had a "beverage"in my hand and steamed clams with a good crusty bread to eat. LOL!

Of course, it wouldn't be me if the Tilda I used for my card was actually in stock over at Magnolia-licious. It's just a given anymore, that whatever I choose will not be available. I'm just cursed with it, cause Diana has the largest selection of Magnolia stamps available in North America, yet I always choose to use one that is currently out of stock. What can I say....leave it to me! LOL! Please contact Diana at Magnolia-licious if you're interested in getting her. I'm sure she'll be happy to get some ordered for you. Along with her, I used #615 Pier Fence from the Lazy Summer Days Collection.

Papers are from Nitwit Collections and cardstock is Bazzill. Stamps are colored with Copics and the background is cut out with my circle Nesties. The ticket was made using a set of Autumn Leaves stamps and the bow was made using May Arts Silk Ribbon and the Bow Easy.
Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the fabulous projects by the rest of my teamies, and then we'd love it if you would grab your paper and glue and show us your favorite Summertime activity!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
